MARK NORRIS
COVENANT LIBRARY MINISTRIES presents...
Since encountering the love of Christ in 1978, Mark Norris (B.A. theology/M.A. journalism) has served the Lord as a pastor, Bible institute director, radio teacher, TV ministries director, publishing house editor, author, US Army Infantry School editor, and Army congressional liaison officer.
Following the attacks on Washington D.C. and New York City September 11 2001, Mark was laid off from his Christian advertising position in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Choosing not to search for another Christian editorial position, Mark acted instead to serve America in the Global War on Terror. Growing up in the home of a career Army officer, and a three-year Army veteran himself, 9-11 was a call to war. He was hired to serve as writer-editor for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco (ATF), Firearms and Explosives, then as writer/editor for the U.S. Army Infantry School, and finally as the congressional liaison officer at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
Mark retired from government service and moved back to Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2020. His education includes an AA from Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton, Oregon, certificates from Victory Bible Institute and RHEMA Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, a BA in theology and Christian education from LIFE Bible College in Los Angeles, California, and an MA in professional writing and journalism from Regent University in Virginia.
